Abstract

Background: Patients with hypertension have twice as great exposed to heart disease and eight times as large as a stroke risk than who do not experience hypertension. Risk increase in blood pressure on the person who has overweight than people with normal weight. Women who have increased cholesterol levels in the blood more vulnerable for hypertension (Nikolov et al., 2015). Objectives: The purpose of this research aimed to determine a percentage of body fat and cholesterol levels of the elderly women in Posyandu, Geger Subdistrict, Madiun who occurrence of hypertension. Methods: This research using cross sectional design. The sample using purposive sampling technique with 38 respondent which satisfy the inclusion criteria. Instrument used is Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis tool. Statistical test used is spearman rho with a significance level of ? < 0.05. Results: The results of this study showed that significant relationship between body fat percentage and blood pressure (p-value = .033; r = .304). Meanwhile, total cholesterol level did not show any relationship with blood pressure (p-value = .429; r = -.132). Conclusion: Fat Accumulation in the kidneys where the renin-angiotensin system is identified in human fat tissue, can cause impaired nephron function which causes blood pressure to rise. Thus, abdominal obesity accompanied by ectopic fat deposits can play an important role in the development of hypertension and should not be neglected when undertaking blood pressure-lowering therapy.

Abstract

Background: This pandemic has caused many changes in various aspects of life including education. This change happened so fast and did not allow us to make preparations and anticipation so that the impact would not be so great. Learning at this time is more directed at modernization activities with the help of advanced technology with the hope of helping students digest lecture material in an interactive, productive, effective, inspirational, constructive, and fun way. Objective: The aim of the research was to prove the effectiveness of e-learning during the Covid-19 pandemic on the learning motivation of students in the Nursing Study Program at STIKES Bina Sehat PPNI Mojokerto. Methods: The research design used in this research is comparative exploratory which is used to describe and mention the differences and similarities of the subject under study. The sampling technique in this study used simple random sampling approach. The sample in this study was partly students in semester 6, with a sample size of 120 respondents. Collecting data using a questionnaire. This questionnaire is a modification of the previous questionnaire from Nursalam (2016) with a likert scale distributed by google form. Results: Based on the data on the effectiveness of E-Learning, most of the respondents answered that it was quite effective as many as 79 respondents or 66%, while the motivation of the students was mostly less motivated in learning as many as 89 respondents or 75%. Spearman Rho Statistical Test are obtained ? = 0.000 with the Correlation Coefficient (r) = 0.318 which indicates a weak relationship. Conclusion: The presence of online learning methods (E-Learning) makes students motivated to learn again. During this pandemic period, it is hoped that students will remain motivated to learn and continue to attend lectures through E-Learning with various media.

Abstract

Background: The ability of pregnant women to deal with early response to high risks is still below the average, which is one of the causes of complications that can indicate the welfare of the mother and her fetus. Objectives: The aim of this study was to look at the determinants that influence early detection of high-risk pregnancies. Methods: This study used an analytic design with a cross sectional design. The sample size of 112 from a population of 155 was obtained by simple random sampling. The independent variables are individual factors, interpersonal influence, filial value and commitment, while the dependent variable is the family's ability to detect high risk of pregnancy for 3 months, namely August-October 2020 at PMB Ika Mardiyanti. This study uses a questionnaire. Data collection in the form of a questionnaire. Data analysis using SEM-PLS. Results: The results of the significance test concluded that all the path coefficients and the T statistical value of personal factors on interpersonal (0.453; 6.612), interpersonal on filial values ??(0.753; 7.267), filial value for commitment (0.851; 17.048), filial value for ability (0.667 ; 4,679), commitment to ability (0.358; 2.356) is significant. Because all have a T-statistic value that is more than the T-table 1.96. Conclusion: The determinant factors that contribute to the ability of families to detect high risk of pregnancy need to be considered so that families are independent and have efforts to maintain the health of pregnant women in their families. In further research, it is necessary to involve other factors to improve family capacity, especially in the ability of families to detect high-risk pregnancies early.

Abstract

Background: Fishermen are a high risk group for developing pterygium. The high frequency of exposure to UV, wind, dust and sand when working makes the prevalence of pterygium among fishermen quite high. The city of Bengkulu, which is geographically located on the west coast of Sumatra Island which is directly facing the Indonesian Ocean, makes the majority of its population work as fishermen. Objectives: This study aims to determine the relationship between duration of being a fisherman, distance to health facilities and smoking with pterygium disease in a group of fishermen in, Bengkulu. Methods: Analytical observational research with case control design. The sample of 120 fishermen consisted of 40 cases and 80 controls, because researchers used a case-control ratio of 1:2. Sampling using purposive sampling method. The dependent variable was pterygium disease. Independent variables of duration as a fisherman, distance of health facilities and smoking. The research instrument uses a structured questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability with Alpha Cronbach value (0.996) > r table. Data were analyzed by Chi Square. Results: Based on the research results, it was found that there was a significant relationship with duration as a fisherman (? 21 years) (OR = 3.980; 95%CI = 1.404-11.284; p = 0.006) with pterygium disease. There is no relationship between smoking (OR = 1.246; 95%CI = 0.559-2.778; p = 0.590) with pterygium disease. There is a significant relationship between the distance of health facilities (OR = 5.133; 95%CI = 2.249-11.715; p = 0.000) with pterygium disease. Conclusion: The length of time working as a fisherman increases the risk of developing pterygium disease as the frequency of exposure to UV, dust, wind and sand increases. It is necessary to use personal protective equipment to reduce the risk of exposure and education from health workers so that the public can take good preventive measures.

Abstract

Background: Nurse is a profession that cannot be separated from the problem of work fatigue. Fatigue due to work will have a negative impact on work such as decreased accuracy, skill, and even work productivity. If this happens to nurses, it can put the patient at risk, decreasing the quality of service. Work fatigue is caused by several factors, such as worker characteristics, namely age, sex, education, nutritional status, and work environment factors (Tarwaka, 2013). Nurses have a fairly heavy duty in assisting emergency services and nursing services continuously for 24 hours so that nurses sometimes eat irregularly which can cause nutritional conditions to be disturbed (Astuti, Ekawati, & Wahyuni, 2017). Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between age, nutritional status and subjective work fatigue in inpatient nurses at dr. M Yunus Bengkulu. Methods: The research design was an analytic survey with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study were 128 nurses in the inpatient room with total sampling technique. The data collection instrument is a work fatigue feeling questionnaire consisting of 17 questions adopted from (Setyawati, 2010) which has tested the validity and reliability in her book entitled at a glance about work fatigue, a nutritional status questionnaire by taking physical measurements of body weight and height to determine BMI, and age questionnaire with units of years. Data analysis used chi square test with 95% degree of error if p-value ? 0.05 indicates a significant relationship and if > 0.05 is not significant. Results: This study shows that there is no relationship between age and subjective work fatigue on nurses with a p-value = 0.107 > ? = 0.05. And there is a relationship between nutritional status and subjective work fatigue on nurses with a p-value = 0.000 > ? = 0.05. Conclusion: Work fatigue that occurs in nurses is expected to be an important concern, nurses should maintain a healthy body by consuming balanced nutritious food and diligent exercise and adequate rest, so as to reduce the risk of fatigue due to work.
